We only stayed for one night but were really struck by how helpful and friendly. all the staff we encountered were. Our room was very comfortable with complimentary tea and coffee (including decaff which is always a plus as I usually have to ask). One of the bedside lights was not working but we mentioned it to the bar staff after our evening meal and had only just got back to our room when someone arrived to fix it. Our only criticism is that the bathroom was very dated - haven't seen a coloured sink and toilet for years. The food in the restaurant was excellent and plentiful.

The room was fine, the bed very comfortable. However, the bathroom was stuck in the seventies and seriously needs a makeover. The staff were great and the food was really good and not too expensive.

We’re checked in swiftly by friendly and helpful manager. Room was a good size, well appointed, comfy bed with good quality bedding and extra pillows. Bathroom looked a little tired, but effective shower and a good size. Breakfast was plentiful, lots of choice and all very tasty. Ate in the restaurant on both nights of our stay - although usual pub fare, was well-priced, well cooked and quickly served. Every member of staff from manager to bar and restaurant staff and cleaners were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again if in the area.
