Nice pub, with a couple of decent real ales, and OK but tired bedrooms that could do with a thorough dusting. During two separate 4-day stays I had to ask at the bar for more shower gel - two small sachets just weren’t enough for four days of showers!..

It’s a little rusty but that’s ok because the age and history it’s its beauty. Beautiful rooms. Excellent location.

Rooms very dated and beds not so comfy but the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We ate in the pub and the food was great as was the breakfast in the morning. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Good breakfast, big room, but bathroom was not very clean.

We were delayed for checking in but staff helped us to to come in late. Communication was clear and everyone we spoke to was really helpful. Breakfast was really good and freshly cooked.

Location ideal for our visits to family, the staff are friendly, rooms are good for us and the food is what we want for one or two night stays. A friendly welcome and great beer.
