Absolutely no drinks were available during breakfast on Sunday, Oct 11. That included any juice, coffee, milk or even water. When I inquired about where we could get water, the attendant walked away and didn’t even answer. They were also out of several food items including the hot entrees, yogurt and a few others. Although there are 3 parking lots, it’s tough when you’re handicapped and can’t get a spot close to the building especially when it’s raining and you have to park on the other side of Pacific Ave. Front desk clerk was the most unfriendly clerk I have encountered. She was engrossed in watching her computer screen every time I saw her. Walls were paper thin. Constantly heard our neighbors screaming at their kids. On the plus side, it’s a great location and a very clean facility, but I will never set foot in that building ever again.

We choose this hotel because we have stayed at other IHG hotels. The front desk staff are super helpful and friendly. They will help you in any way they can. Housekeeping was excellent. They are on it when you ask for anything. Breakfast was good. As usual they don’t season due to diet restrictions and the food was good with a little salt and pepper. Loved the pancakes. The juice, however, is extremely watered down so do yourself a favor and drink coffee, milk or tea or buy a juice at the snack shop at the desk. Beds were a little hard for my liking but the others with me were comfortable. Wonderful ocean view from the 5th floor. As for leaving off one star that was for the pool. It’s very small and awkwardly shaped. If you have more than 4 people in at a time you don’t have much room to move around and you definitely can not do any type of laps. Granted you’re at the ocean and a pool is not necessary but it’s hard to do laps or any kind of relaxing in the ocean.

Overall, this day was fine. However, when we arrived, it was very obvious that the carpet in our room had not been vacuumed. It was full of crumbs and debris. I was too tired to say anything to the front desk staff so that is my fault. However, the next day, when the room was cleaned, again, they did not vacuum the carpet. also it appeared that the elevators were not vacuumed or cleaned pretty much ever. The front doors of the property make all kinds of noise and are very rickety when they open and close and so if you’re in the front area by the front desk it’s just constant. I’m surprised they have not fixed that.

This was a great room. Nice and clean and an awesome ocean front view. Only minor complaint I would have is that the indoor pool is small. Smaller than how the pics look on-line. Not a lot room for a lot of people. Other than that everything was great.
