You have to remember you are only paying £50. However the missing section of carpet across the fresh hold to the floor stained bathroom was dangerous right the heal of my foot on the exposed carpet gripper. Had to slide the Tv out the way to plug the kettle in . The room need a total revamp . The bar and food are all good with lovely staff . Worth £50 a night Yes in this day and age .

The rooms are seriously dates and could do with a good scrub or redecorating. Bed was hard and uncomfortable as well. All in all, just a bit grubby. Liveable, but grubby

Ample parking and easy to find. Checked in late but nice and quick / easy with two tired children. The room was good. Two separate single beds in a side room. No aircon or room fan (didn’t ask as it was late) double glazed to insulate against the road noise, with a motorway closure / accident and a warm night… a very warm room which was not ideal but not the fault of the hotel. Breakfast was good in the morning both continental and cooked

We stayed 3nights with breakfast Arrived late evening, greeted by the night staff man, he was very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was better than expected, lovely pub , food was cooked freshly with good options for hot or continental breakfast. Staff again very welcoming, helpful & food came out in good time. Overall hotel and rooms, needs full returb, carpets in rooms are old , stained & dirty. Make sure you bring you slippers or sliders. Bathrooms very dated, but clean and done the job. Beds need new mattresses, pillows comfy & offer extra pillows , they have a fan , iron, ironing board, hairdryer, soap, towels and small towels in the room. Tea, coffee, etc and biscuits also. Overall a good stay & would stay again for the price it’s pretty decent.
