The room was ok, the shower wasn’t great and often the water pressure would drop leaving you with a trickle of water, the toilet was constantly leaking, maybe a broken cistern? A fridge would have been nice in the room. The staff weren’t very attentive, disappointed with the confusing email full of passwords and codes to get into the building and into the room, the breakfast was very nice but the plates and mugs were dirty.

Student Accommodation?? Misleading advertising/information?? Do not believe the website images. I stayed in room 24. I paid a little extra for a superior room, although my invoice stated a standard room. Mould around the windows, plenty of stains on the carpet, couldn't fill the kettle as sink too small. I could have used the cups in the bathroom to help fill the kettle but they were unclean - even the TV remote had a button missing so couldn't turn the channels over without using my house key to press in the gap. Bed mattress so worn the springs cut into your back. The morning I left I raised a complaint (my second ever spread over 20 years) only to be informed this should have been done whilst at the accommodation so they could have looked into the list of issues. This was not possible as when I checked in you cannot access the building for a reception. You call a number on the door - they guide you to a different building then confirm everything through WhatsApp. The hotel couldn't even get my receipt correct and blamed the booking agency. Never again for me at this one!

This was a perfect stay for Great North Run. Would definitely recommend. Lovely little touches such as bottles of water, bananas and health bars along with a note re running or watching the GNR was well received. No check in desk, the email with door codes and information about the accommodation and parking was clear and received before we arrived. Free car parking outside the accommodation. Thank you
