Brand

This is SecondBook

A young, fresh brand for people who travel. Lime green, plain words and small pieces of craft that make a booking feel like the start of a trip.

Why we take care of how we look

A booking you can no longer use is a bit of bad news. We want what comes next to feel light: a lime that smiles, words that sound like a friend and little pieces that make you want to go. Visual content isn't decoration for us; it's how you recognise us, from a heart on a hotel to a postcard of your next destination.

  • Lime green

Young, fresh and optimistic. Lime is the colour of a second chance, and it's the only colour we use as brand: everything around it stays neutral so it can shine.

  • One typeface

Geist in three weights, tight on headings and open in text. Clean and contemporary, so the destinations and the prices do the talking.

  • A close voice

We speak to you as a friend who knows about travel: short sentences, plain words, no fine print. We say "sell your booking", never anything that sounds like touting.

Signature pieces

Small pieces that are ours alone and appear across the product.

  • The SB like

Press the heart: it becomes the sb symbol for a moment and comes back. It's on every hotel you save.

Colours

The lime is the brand; the greens support it in prices and deals; the neutrals give it room. Press a value to copy it. These are the tokens of the website itself.

Voice

How we write, in every language: as a friend, never as a form.

  • Close

We talk to you informally, in every language, and we sound like a person.

  • Clear

One idea per sentence. The price and the date first, the details after.

  • Honest

We say what happens and when, including what can go wrong.

  • We say: Sell your booking

We avoid: Flip your booking for a profit

  • We say: You pay €120 less than at the hotel

    We avoid: Unbeatable prices!!!

  • We say: Something wrong? Write to us and we'll sort it out

We avoid: Please submit a ticket to customer service

Dos and don'ts

A few rules that keep the brand recognisable wherever it appears.

Do

  • Use lime as the only brand colour, on white or with white on top.
  • Leave the logo room to breathe.
  • Keep everything around it neutral: white, greys and ink.
  • Let pieces move briefly and with purpose, and keep them still if the device asks for less motion.

Don't

  • Recolour the logo, add gradients, shadows or outlines.
  • Put the lime logo on a dark or busy background: there it goes white.
  • Stretch, rotate or crop the logo.
  • Talk about "touting" or "flipping": we sell bookings, nothing more.

Everything in the brand

Each section has its pieces, what they mean and when we use them.
