Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 2026

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. They let the site remember information between pages and visits.

2. Cookies we use

• Technical cookies (always on): keep you signed in and secure your session, remember your language, and protect the site against abuse. • Audience measurement cookie (always on, anonymous): sb_vid, a random first-party identifier. It lasts 390 days (less than 13 months), is set once and is not extended on later visits. See section 3. • Analytics and personalisation cookies: used only with your prior consent. These optional features are not active at the moment.

3. Anonymous audience measurement

To understand how SecondBook is used as a whole, we measure our audience anonymously and without asking for consent, as allowed for first-party audience measurement by the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD, 2023 cookie guide) and the French CNIL. What we record: pages visited, active time on each page, how far you scroll, clicks on links and buttons (never what you type in forms) and which destination, accommodation and listing pages were viewed, together with your country, language and type of device. What we don't: we don't link it to your account or session, we don't store your IP address or your precise location, and we remove query strings from addresses (campaign utm_* tags aside). What for: aggregate statistics only — never advertising, profiling, recommendations or reminders — and we don't share it with third parties. The records are deleted after about 90 days and never kept beyond 25 months. We also collect anonymous page-speed measurements (Web Vitals) with no identifier at all. You can opt out at any time by blocking or deleting cookies for secondbooknow.com in your browser, or by writing to privacy@secondbooknow.com.

4. Third-party services

• Stripe sets its own cookies on payment pages to process payments securely and prevent fraud. • onedollarstats gives us cookieless page-view statistics: it stores nothing on your device. We don't use Google Analytics or advertising cookies.

5. Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies at any time from your browser settings. Blocking technical cookies may stop parts of the site, such as signing in or paying, from working.

6. Changes

We may update this Cookie Policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
