Room was very good. Breakfast not so good. Not enough staff servicing tables and replenishing the buffet items. No honey or marmalade and a ridiculous toaster with no adjustment or retoasting permitted, so if you like your bread well toasted your out of luck. No boiled eggs and scrambled eggs were pretty awful. Lukewarm plates and very average food.

The walk from check in to our room was MILES and yet transpired was right next to the car park from which we thereafter gained entry. This was not adequately explained. The room had cobwebs hanging down and we had to get housekeeping to come and clear them. The room was "tired" and in need of refurbishment. There was signs of damp mould in the bathroom and the bottom of the door was rotten. My pork cutlet for dinner was overcooked and dry with no sauce or gravy. This was pointed out to the chef at the time who needs to overhaul this dish. Breakfast was good. Overall this is not worth the money.

Nice common parts but rooms bland with dated bathrooms but broken tap was fixed quickly. We were woken early in the mornings as our room was located next to the linen store which wasn't get and the dirty linen was stored outside our window so not a great view. Breakfast was a standard buffet with no complaints and nice staff. The big let down for us was the swimming pool and the staff. I have a disabled son and I was travelling without my husband and the major issue was the only way to the pool was through the men's or ladies changing rooms. The "family changing room" is actually just the disabled toilet with a chair in it and a sign put on the door. The floor of it was wet and slippery and the room cramped for a family and I felt sorry for any disabled people that needed to use this as a toilet. The staff said that my son could not pass through the ladies changing room with me to get the to the family changing room and wanted him to go through the men's on his own. When I pointed out this was not possible due to his disability they wanted a male member of staff to take him through which would have been a safe guarding issue and also would have distressed my son to be separated from me. The staff member said that the pool was a private members club and her job was to keep members happy. I pointed out that we were paying guests. In the end the GM had to be called to allow safe passage with him through the ladies changing room. This left me very upset.
