Wonderfully quirky room with lots of original features!

I was very pleasantly surprised by the room, though slightly apprehensive about being directly above the restaurant. But I needn't have worried. I didn't hear any noise from below. Despite the well equipped room, I had a terrible night's sleep, but that wasn't in any way related to the very comfortable bed, or the room. The food, both evening meal and continental breakfast were excellent and I will seriously consider staying again if in Loughborough overnight.

Carpets are dirty and my room was next to the toilet and directly above the restaurant so very noisy, the bathroom is very dark, if you want a restful night's sleep this place isn't for you. Breakfast was a continental and they should make this clear when they advertise free breakfast, location is good but I won't visit again

Good alternative to characterless chain hotels. Good value for money, run by very helpful real Italian family. Free parking on site. Would definitely go back if in Loughborough again.

Hotel does have some parking but the majority of parking is either on street or at NCP near Tesco. Decent pubs in the immediate vicinity of the hotel restaurant which looked good

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean. It’s a small room but only because it’s a historic beautiful building. It had everything we needed. We ate in the restaurant. The food was superb. Good price too. Highly recommended. 👍
