This is a challenging review as there aspects that tainted my stay in Boston the were nothing to do with the hotel. As a lone traveller, I guess I felt intimidated by the numerous groups of men in the square. I also had trouble finding a shop selling straightforward non uHT milk. Don’t get me wrong, I’m generally totally for a truly cosmopolitan lifestyle. Just overwhelmed with the amount of apparently single men milling around during the day. Now to the hotel. The general appearance is good. The lack of staff is something Im not used to. I booked a room with an outside space which was great but hadn’t reckoned on the lift not going to the top floor so I really struggled to get my case to my room. Didn’t see any other guests at all. Unfortunately it seems that the other guest on my floor had a cut hand as there was blood all the way up the hand rail which didn’t help with my sense of safety. I rang the help number to explain about the blood and to their credit it was gone when I returned to the hotel. The common areas were stylish and pleasant. My room looked great. In so many ways it was great but one of the shower heads was broken, there was a large area of carpet with stains and I could not get the main lighting to come on. Sadly I also struggled to get comfy to sleep. I really want to like this accommodation but it just wasn’t for me. Better for the younger generation I think. At 63 I guess I’m looking for a little more TLC.

Great value hotel, right in the centre of Boston. Very comfortable room, spotlessly clean and a decent size (even for a single). The self-checkin was very easy. The continental breakfast provided was also great. Parking is available a couple of minutes walk away.

Parking was ok, although the area did not fill us with confidence! Access to the hotel was ok. Room was clean, modern and well presented. Although obviously reasonably new, the entry and stair carpet is quite stained. Hotel not in a great area and traffic noise was excessive until around 1am. Went to breakfast around 8am and met with dirty crockery on the breakfast bar.

Didnt sleep well at all due to no air-conditioning, just a very small fan. Room was extremely hot. Room was clean and bathroom was nice. Didn't see any staff on site so not sure who to speak to for extra toilet rolls etc. Based in town so quite noisy as we had to have the door open due to the heat. For the price of the room, I was expecting air conditioning.
