Dar Bensouda heeft 18 kamers met airconditioning die zijn voorzien van een kluis en gratis mineraalwater. Elke badkamer is voorzien van een bad of douche. I’ll start with the good. The location is great and the staff with the exception of the general manager is very kind and eager, going out of their way to be helpful! The general manager put us off from the start. He really wanted to control every aspect of our stay in the city and was very critical of us for booking restaurants and tours on our own . In fact, one tour company that we used said they had many problems with our Riad not sending the guests on the tours they had pre- booked with them. There was definite tension between the two parties leaving us to question who to trust. Our hotel manager kept warning us that we would be taken advantage of by sellers . None of this made us feel good about our choices! The hotel is very beautiful in its architecture but definitely needs updating in its furnishings. The rooms are not the comfort level one expects for the price ( i.e. the linens and pillows are not good quality, there is a lack of basic incidentals like Kleenex , the bathroom lighting is insufficient, and the furniture is stained and worn. Overall I would not recommend this hotel for the price. Also beware of the room you are booking.., our friends had no shower and had to go up 6 steep stairs to use their bathroom.

The room was not fully clean, previous guests left their mop and rake and it was not cleaned properly. The staff it’s very friendly and always happy to help . Location it’s amazing

Beautiful inside, nice rooms and staff nice. Breakfast solid too. Only issue is our room was on the bottom floor and near the kitchen (so could hear dishes being washed) and the bathroom seemed to share a window with a families living room. Overall it didn't really affect us but I suspect experience would be better in a room higher up in the building.

Property was nice but not overwhelming. austere would be the way to describe the decor. The rooms were a good size and service was good. But overall, there was nothing memorable about this Riad. Also, as is true for most riads in the Medina, one would have to be picked at the nearest car access and be transported by luggage service to the Riad itself. We are used to this, but Dar Bensouda was quite much farther than what would be typical. Good place, but given stiff competition of riads in Marrakech (so many great options at this price level), will likely not come back…
