Despite some exceptional reviews, this hotel is not exceptional. A decent hotel for a decent price. Staff helpful on arrival, room cosy and bed comfortable, exactly as you would expect. The pub area is a bit soulless, with the main room being very sparsely decorated, with very little furniture, although the bar is fine. Breakfast was good, and included in the price, and parking was ample and off-road. This is a fairly typical sub-contractor hotel but at least the management have had the foresight to put up a signing stating that no work boots should be worn in the hotel. A very good move. My shower would not work at all. I drew this to the attention of the management and I am sure that they will fix the problem.

Room was clean and had a comfy bed but was far too warm and the shower didn’t work well. TV controls didn’t work and had to leave the bedroom window open all night with a noisy fan running to try and keep cool.
