Séjour très agréable. Petit dej très complet. Brasserie sur place très appréciable pour le soir. Moins bien, des couloirs chauffés mais avec les fenêtres ouvertes.

First impressions were disappointing as we arrived at night and couldn’t find the car park! Needs clearer signage and lighting would be helpful. Rear door not accessible so had to walk along the street to the front of the building. Receptionist was very helpful and sorted us out. Room was clean and tidy with everything we needed. Very comfy bed. We didn’t book breakfast but ate in the restaurant which was good. Bar and reception sitting area had a good atmosphere. All the staff we encountered were polite and helpful. Clearly building/maintenance work is going on and maybe some notices around to explain why the scaffolding and barriers are lying around the central garden area would be helpful. Hotel is in a great location for strolling over the bridge into Stratford or along the riverbank. Very surprised how large the hotel is and the labyrinth of interconnecting corridors. The corridors and entrance doors would benefit from an update - very 1980’s. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Swans Nest.

Comfortable bedroom clean ( quiet considering there were external maintenance work in progress) relaxed communal seating area. Ideal location adjacent to Bar serving meals with drinks discount for hotel guests and a popular bistro restaurant, Short walk to RSC and town centre. Excellent staff ( must give a mention manager Fiona ) friendly helpful and extremely knowledgeable about the area offering great suggestions of places to see or visit.

Room was clean, although there appeared to be a little black mould in the bathroom and there was a stain on the bedspread. Building works ongoing at the moment, so was unable to park as the carpark is taken up by some of these works - and had to pay to park a short walk away. Air conditioning not working and so room was too hot with a window restrictor fitted. Noise from corridor and room above. Despite these issues, close to the RSC, and a reasonable sleep. Tired and in need of modernisation.
