Hamn in Senja was established as a fishing station already in the 1880-is, and was a busy community and one the biggest landing stations for fish early in the 1900-century.In 1990 the fishing business ended, and the facilities was taken over by Fredriksen family and all the buildings was restored and rebuilt to receive guests.The resort opened it doors in 1994 with great success, and became the travel product of the year in Norway already in 1995. The historical charming atmosphere and the informal service drew many guests, and the local people were very proud of place - which is said to be one of the most popular photo motif in the area. But it should be dramatic times as well. Sadly there was a fire in 2005 where everything burned down.But after 3 tough years of constructions, we finally could open and invite guest to stay with us again.We think that Hamn a great place to be, lower ones shoulders and relax - getting away from every day life.
