Very dissapointing because we booked thru an agent so we did not get spa or gym access.. absolutely disgusting... .my friend booked thru another agent and got it.. they wanted to charge us £15 per head.. RIP off.. and £20.00 for brekkie each... sandwich we bought had no gammon it it.. tiny bit in the middle.. had to send it back... bar area was freezing cold.. safe to say ..we wont go back...also heaving with kids from 3-6pm.. it was like Butlins...

I stay at the hotels nearly every week for business and personal reasons so I have seem my fair share of the hotels. I was very impressed with this hotel. It is located conveniently just off the motorway and next to the shopping centre yet the hotel was so quiet. When we have checked in they had big wedding but again the botel seems peaceful. Plenty of parking, great hotel spa and room was clean, spacious and all the amenities you would expect at the higher end hotels without 5 star hotel prices. Hotel staff were very polite and helpful. We didnt have food at the hotel so cant comment in that.This is definitely going to be my choice of hotel next time we are in the area.

Lovely hotel and lovely room. Clean and staff good. Lovely breakfast. Only thing was having to pay £30 for myself and two children to use the pool just for an hour. Would be nice to be included in the price or to get longer.

Avoid room 100. No privacy (staff walk past window and can see right in) and very loud near lift.

I’ve stayed at Solent Spa a few times now and have always had a great experience. The staff are consistently pleasant, friendly and happy to accommodate requests. I asked for one of the newly furnished rooms, which is always my preference, and was pleased to get exactly that. The room was spotless and very comfortable. There were just a couple of minor things that could do with attention. The fridge was missing its front badge, leaving a small hole, although it worked perfectly well. The interior glass from the door peephole was also missing, making it difficult to see clearly outside. The TV remote was intermittently not working, even after changing the batteries with reception. The car park exit barrier is the one recurring issue I’ve experienced. This has happened on both occasions I’ve stayed recently. The barrier tells you to wait 12 seconds, but sometimes it still doesn’t open, meaning I have to press the button again. Hopefully this can be looked into. Breakfast was good, and although I remember when Solent had a menu with table service, which was always a 10/10 experience, I completely understand why things have changed and have no issues with the current setup. Overall, Solent Spa is a lovely place to stay. Despite the few minor points mentioned, I had another great experience and would happily return. The friendly staff, comfortable rooms and overall atmosphere make it somewhere I’m always happy to stay.
