Nice spacious and comfortable room (room 5). Comfortable bed and bedding and enough tea, coffee etc and wardrobe space. The bathroom could do with a spruce up in places … the sealant in the shower is grubby and the paintwork is looking shabby. The room is quite light overnight due to a green light in the room itself and the landing lights being left on presumably for security reasons. Breakfast has always been excellent on previous stays but fell a bit short today. Poached eggs were hard and the omelette a little salty. The coffee wasn’t as good as previous stays either. This is one of our favourite hotels in the area and will still be a high choice for us … hopefully this stay was just a little blip.

We stayed for 2 nights 27/28th August along with my sister and her husband whilst we were visiting relatives in the area. We had a very enjoyable stay, the hotel was spotless and all the staff were super helpful and attentive. Breakfast was amazing and the full english was tasty and good produce, which was included in the price. We dined in the restaurant on one of our nights stay and the food was very good and service perfect. The outside seating area was also a nice place to sit and chat. We had booked a double room, which we did find a little small but it was very clean and had everything we wanted and for our 2 nights stay wasn't a problem. We would definitely stay again but request a king bed and larger room.
