Arrived at this location and the staff was super helpful to get us settled in, the bathroom had a weird smell coming from the drains, the jacuzzi in the room had some off gassing which lead to an awful smell in the room. So had to keep the door open for fresh air, but then the neighbors decided to smoke on the deck, leading to cigarette smoke filling our room. Sheets were old , and did not have fitted sheet on mattress. Towels were old and falling apart. Seemed like they were just getting by on a shoes string. Good price , close to water. If you don’t mind bad smells it could be for you.

We had a great time in Ohrid, Villa Maki is very close to the lake sidewalk, 10 minutes to the center of the town.

After reconfirming my reservation 2 times including providing my approximate arrival time I got to the property at 10:30pm after traveling for 15 hours and was told that my room was not available. They had all day to contact me and let me know there was a problem yet made no effort to do so. They did contact another property nearby and found a room for me, but this was very disconcerting overall. One of the staff led me on a 1/4 mile walk in the dark through back alleys and parking lots to the other property. I would never consider staying at this property because of the lack of communication and the amount of stress they caused.

Lovely and popular place. A few minutes to the lakeshore, 10 minutes walk to the old town. Many good restaurants very close. Renata the house was very welcoming and friendly, informative about the local area and very helpful with organising taxis and appointments. The room was large with a very comfortable bed. We had a hot tub so great for relaxation after a day out exploring. The tv had numerous channels including many in English, the best of any in 6 hotels during our holiday. We didn't have breakfast as we didn't want to adhere to serving times. It wasn't included in our rate. All requests for extra pillows, clothes hangers and towels were sorted immediately. Highly recommended and we would definitely stay again if in Ohrid.
