The hotel was clean and nice, with a beautiful new restaurant that had opened this summer. The outdoor patios and pool area could benefit from a few more plants to make it cozier. The rooms were nice but quite small.

Great staffs at the car park on arrival. Valet parking. Pool was lovely. Be ware of steps as check in on first floor but you can take lift instead. A bit away from the old town but safe surroundings. Security was high on the agenda.

Great stay, would wish for a gym but otherwise we enjoyed everything with this place.

Beautiful hotel and friendly staff. OK location. The pool should get some attention (more places under the shade) and the restaurant needs working toilet, more efficient kitchen and some air condition. Delicious food, though!

We stayed at Hotel Genesis in Menton expecting the level of comfort that comes with a five-star hotel. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing because the air conditioning did not work on a very hot summer night in July. Sleeping in the room was extremely uncomfortable, and this is simply not acceptable for a hotel in this category. On the positive side, the staff were genuinely kind, friendly, and did their best to help. The hotel was fully booked and they had no opportunity to offer another room. The staff would not offer a discount on the room. A well working air conditioning system is a basic expectation—especially during the summer and particularly at a five-star property. Until this issue is reliably resolved, it is difficult to recommend the hotel despite the excellent service from the staff.

It’s really just how you always have wanted a hotel to be when you want to treat yourself. We’ll absolutely come back!
