The room style was quite old fashioned but everything was spotlessly clean. The bathroom appeared to have been refitted recently and was very good. Bed comfort was average. Location was very good for access from the station and for (walking) access to the old city; good restaurants nearby. I did not sample the optional breakfast… an excellent buffet breakfast was available next door in the Hotel Italia for €12. The website gives the impression of a floral garden but in fact the garden seems rather run-down and unappealing. When I arrived at the hotel I actually thought it had closed down as there is no obvious entrance, no reception area, and all the shutters were closed. I adjusted my expectations and had a pleasant comfortable stay - but only really used the place to sleep.

Convenient location: easy walking access via the “Risalita Stazione”, a set of escalators that connect the Siena Stazione FS to the street where the hotel is located. We had a delay during our trip to Siena, what forced us to arrive later than the regular check-in time: thanks to the empathy and excellent communication with the property manager, we were able to check in remotely and everything went well.

No air conditioning in the room. Difficult to sleep during night with high temperatures, the owner at least provided a fan. It goes without saying, a place in central Siena providing accommodation should have air conditioning fitted as a minimum. Everything else was fine.
