Room was clean for how old the place is, minus some dirty dishes we found in the cupboard. It definitely lacked some items that would be useful; there was no paper towel(and only one non absorbent dish towel), no cookie sheet, not enough cutlery for how many people fit in the cabin. The dishwasher is a nice touch for easy clean up, the fridge big enough for a weekend stay - though it was not very cold, and the outlet on the stove did not work so that leaves 1 outlet in the entire kitchen so making coffee and toast at the same time couldn't happen... staff were friendly and helpful. Fireplace was clean and wood stocked for us to use. Housekeeping tried to come in before we even checked out which was odd. Ive stayed here before and would stay again, but would likely look for another kitchen style property first based on whats available and the price being similar to others with 2 washrooms and a better stocked kitchen.

This was a great place not far from the main drag. That is one plus. The free bus passes were a bonus. The room was nice and had wonderful amenities; stove, full coffee maker, balcony. The price was reasonable. If I'm able to make it back, I will strongly consider if the price is right.

Staff were great. Small kitchen for our family of 5 but we made it work and had everything we needed. Great perk of free public transport into town, was so easy and made the stay so enjoyable. A bit noisy, and train must be close by as we heard that throughout the night. But overall, great place for our family.

Very clean room, helpful staff and good house keeping service. WiFi wasn’t great, and gym room was out of AC.

Tunnel Mountain Resort is a refreshing place to have base camp while you fully explore the beautiful area in and around Banff. The check in process was quick and they give you a lot of information and bus passes. The parking is pretty good; most days we were within steps of our door. We didn't use the bus this time, but it is super convenient and those busses go everywhere!! Don't try to drive in Banff if you can help it. The auto and foot traffic is overwhelming. The room is a great size and we loved the balcony in the evenings. The kitchen is a must-have! We made sandwiches for lunches while exploring. Kept our dining bill down. Note - IGA is a MADHOUSE! Just expect to not be able to get to items without waiting for someone to move (slowly). The beds was the only weak spot for us. The king bed had definitely seen better days and was quite broken down. You can see where each side bottomed out. There was also a queen bed which was less used. We were usually so tired, we slept okay. I'd like to see more layers of lighting. The lights are pretty golden Edison bulbs, but at our age, I need more overall brighter room light and task lighting (like over the bathroom sink). The noise is not a problem, even being between a busy road and parking. They have two levels of shades on the balcony windows and doors which was a NICE touch. We always use a sound machine anyway, just in case. The table & chairs were perfect and we used them often. We would love to come back!!!
