The house has three double bedrooms (master bed ensuite ) with vanity area, enough space to sleep 6 adults in super comfortable beds with blackout blinds. There is a family bathroom located on first floor and an extra cloakroom on ground level. There is a large family kitchen diner with all mod cons ,a perfect space for entertaining ,which leads out to a private rear large patio area, with patio furniture, very safe for children. Extra blankets, throws provided, for indoor and outdoor use, superfast broadband, mood lighting throughout the house. The living room has a large comfortable corner sofa, board games, playing cards and a 49 inch TV and is a calm guest/family space. Located in Westport, this vacation home is in the city center and on a river. Westport House and National Famine Memorial are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Ballycroy National Park and Old Head Forest. Traveling with kids? Consider Westport Leisure Park, or check out an event or a game at McHale Park. Snorkeling and windsurfing offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with mountain climbing and cycling nearby.

Clare, the Manager, was extremely helpful and responded to our questions very quickly. We liked the location especially since it is near a Greenway entrance. Close to the restaurants and shops, yet the property is extremely quiet.

On arrival our host was not there to meet us and show us the property as we were advised but instead the keys were under the mat.The rear patio area was not as the advertised photos but the furniture was dirty and the planter overgrown with weeds.It appeared that the house got a quick brush and mop and the towels and bedding changed before our arrival but there was a dirty damp smell off the living room furniture and especially the ensuite which had a smell of stale soapy water.The shower tray filled in no time when using the shower.The bedroom carpet was dirty and dusty. My wife dropped an earring and on looking for it we found under the bed dirty and behind the bedside locker filthy and all cobwebs.On our second day we went out in the morning to return at 6.30-7pm to find an alarm going off in the kitchen. It turned out to be the fridge. I tried to resolve it myself but eventually had to contact our host who made various suggestions. It turned out that the fridge had been turned off at the isolation switch before we had arrived, possibly the day before. On turning on the alarm kept going off and we spent the whole evening waiting for someone to call and sort it. It eventually stopped at 11pm.Our host contacted us the next morning asking if we got it resolved and suggesting that there was a manual for the fridge in a drawer.Not only did we loose a full evening of our three night stay but we also had to throw out a lot of our food.All in all a lot not enjoyable.

The two of us and our little dog stayed here for three nights. It was perfect. Clean, quiet, and spacious house. Perfect location for town. Friendly and communicative host. Would highly recommend.

Very clean house with all the amenities, and great location. Pet friendly with secure outside area and access to the Greenway for walks.
