I was genuinely surprised by the condition of the bed at The Westin Zagreb. One side of the mattress was so deeply sunken that it looked and felt as though it had been slept in permanently. For a brand that prides itself on its beds — and for me, one of the main reasons to choose Westin — this was especially disappointing. Instead of the polished, comfortable experience I expected, it gave the room the feel of a very cheap hotel stay, which was quite shocking at this level.

They don't let you control the temp in your room very well. So if it's super hot outside the rooms will tend to be hot and never get as cool as you want.

In a central location, the staff were very helpful. I ordered room service and it was nice that the menu had half portions available.

Check-in was seamless and quick. The bar service was really friendly and efficient. Menu was very health-conscious in mind. Location is excellent, very close to the main square and tourist hot spots and easy to connect to public transit to the train station. Very good value for the buck.
