Fine for one night, hotel is a bit dated. Room itself was very big, they kindly upgraded us to a bigger room, however the room was very humid and hot. They did provide a fan which kind of helped.

We stayed at the Star last year too - it was excellent then and it still is (family run) and that very much counts! Breakfast really filling and very nice, definite plus. We both had comfy beds, fab sleep! All staff helpful.

Room clean but very tired, needs a spruce up. BAR: small only open after 5pm and not at all on Sundays. And not cosy like I would expect from an older hotel. Lady serving very friendly. RESTAURANT: THERE ISN'T ONE Breakfast we'll cooked, but no continental as advertised.

We stayed at the star hotel for one night. I was horrified to find the corner of the room covered ants when we woke in the morning!!!

The staff was terrific, from check-in to getting a taxi to the cruise ship. This hotel is quite old but comfortable. For example, the elevator could hold only two people with their luggage. The doors of the elevator were manual, meaning you had to slide the external door and the internal door to close them, which we found easy to do. The breakfast was buffet style, a full English breakfast and a selection of cereals.
