The room was a bit out-dated but very clean. Only note I have is that the airport shuttle is not complimentary, which we weren't aware of until the day we booked it. Also, we were booked on the wrong date by the front desk, which caused delays in our departure.

There was pee on the toilet. Which I found a housekeeper and asked them to clean our toilet. They told me they would take care of it. It was 3 hours later when we came back and it. It was still there. We turned on the TV and there was was no signal. I called the front desk and told me other people have complained about that and they have asked the maintenance people to look into it. When we woke up it still told us the same thing. We had no TV the time we was there. I would not recommend this place

I was expecting much more from this hotel, given the other reviews. The outside facade is crumbling and poorly maintained; and in the room, neither the desk light, desk charging block, nor power outlets/chargers in the nightstands worked. Oh, and then there was a highly visible blood stain in one of the mattress covers. The front desk clerk didn't seem overly concerned.

The room was clean but there was not enough lighting. The bed was comfortable. The property itself could use some renovation/sprucing up. Parking was adequate. The breakfast was just OK. We stayed 2 nights but only had breakfast one morning since there were other good places in town with better food. The staff was all very friendly. There was quite a bit of train noise.

The beds were comfortable, the breakfast choices good and reasonably priced, and housekeeping was friendly and good. The shower has a regular tub but no grab bars for seniors with balance issues.

The Rushmore was a very nice stay for us on our SD to YNP vacation! Everyone was very helpful, the room was very quaint & clean & the location & surrounding restaurants/bars are very close & the drive to Mt Rushmore was about 30 minutes away. Would definitely stay again!
