Excellent staff, in all areas. Polite, friendly and ready to assist. The hotel is situated not far from all forms of transport and on the edge of town, so lots of shops and restaurants. My room was ground floor in the courtyard, very clean and comfortable. My only complaint with it would be the lack of a extractor fan in the bathroom, only one small window for ventilation. It meant the adjacent bedroom felt damp, due to the condensation. Parking also an issue, small car park which was full. Nearby public car park, not good if you have mobility issues. It would stop me from using this hotel again, which is disappointing. The breakfast was lovely, and staff were thoughtful. Good selection to cater for all.

Not our 1st visit to this Hotel - we tend to alternate between the Brend Hotels in Barnstaple on our visits - this is always my husbands favourite

Everything about our stay was amazing apart from the fact nothing was specified about the doors getting locked at night, I went out for birthday drinks came back quite late to find the doors were locked and after ringing the door bell about 5 times someone eventually came and looked at me like it was my fault? Usually there is a code or a key card scanner or even something mentioned but there was nothing.

We had a wonderful time, the room was clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. I highly recommend this hotel to stay in.
