I really like the staff here , everyone is so friendly . The food on the resteraunt is very good .The river views are lovely .This is an older hotel which is reflected in the rooms ; sound proofing is non existent a though no complaint about cleanliness at all .

We were attending a wedding at the hotel and on the day the electricity went off. It was completely out of the hands of the hotel but the staff worked tirelessly to ensure the wedding reception could go ahead. There was no power from 6am until late into the evening but somehow they kept everything on track and the event was a huge success. How they managed to serve such high quality food under the circumstances I don’t know. I’m sure they were all exhausted by the end of the day, but thank you for all your efforts!!

Lovely setting next to the river, with parking on site (for a small fee). Warm welcome and really lovely staff who were friendly and helpful. The deluxe room which we had booked was a shock with curtains hanging and broken; mould and dirt around the windows and cobwebs on the ceiling. An old building is expected but it needs some tlc as it’s letting down your customers

We had a great stay. Good sized twin bedded room with nice little outside sitting area overlooking the river. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast fresh and plentiful. Parking was £5 per night which was fine as the hotel is well located an easy 10 minute walk from the cathedral and town centre.

Excellent location within easy walk of Cathedral beautiful river views and friendly helpful staff. Good food in the restaurant with nice terrace on the river.
