First off we did absolutely love our stay on the Queen Mary. This was the 3rd leg of a 4 leg road trip for my new wife's and my honeymoon. The ship itself and the staff were more than amazing. We did the 2 hour paranormal ship walk tour and it couldn't have been any more perfect. The exception comes to how hot it was onboard the ship. Long Beach was under a heat advisory at the time of our stay and we were informed when we checked in the the engineers were doing everything they could to cool the ship and they did offer us a fan which we accepted but even with all that it was incredibly hot in our room. While touring the rest of the ship it was quite comfortable but our room never got comfortable. It was very difficult to sleep even when the outside temperature was in the low 70s. While on the tour there were several areas of the boat that were very uncomfortable to the point everyone was sweating. I completely understand that this is a very old ship but Southern California can get very hot and there are way to mitigate and retrofit the ship to make it more comfortable for it's guests. This is the only qualm we had as the rest of the boat and crew were absolutely perfect.

Good experience. Go often to stay there. It is a old ship so it’s not in the best condition. Really needs a refresh.

The Queen Mary was a much anticipated trip to celebrate the 21st birthday of a ship enthusiast. While the history of the ship and the tours were entertaining and informative the rest of our stay on the Queen Mary was dismal. Our room had mold within the tiles of the shower. The sink had pooling water. Our room lacked any furniture to accommodate luggage and only provided foldable luggage racks out of the closet. While we appreciate the historic nature of the ship at $400/night we would also expect cleanliness and reasonable updating while preserving the charm of the ship. Additionally, the pictures shown online did not demonstrate the appearance of our room. We very much wished to spend time on the deck of the Queen Mary, but there was a complete lack of anywhere to sit other than some hard benches along the ships edge. Large expanses of ship decking without a single place to sit, relax, or enjoy. We were able to enjoy good food and nice service in the promenade Café as well as at Jubilee.

The Queen Mary was an amazing experience! The whole vibe is very nostalgic especially with the music playing in the public areas. The food is fantastic!

It’s a vintage property so expect its age to show. But our tub had obviously been glazed at some time and a whole chunk had peeled up. Had to cover it up with bath mat (which is likely what caused the peeling over time). Definitely could have used some paint and repairs, but again we stayed for historical vibe and convenience for cruise terminal. Staff is super friendly and helpful!
