Good location, quiet and well equipped. Bathroom was snug with heated towel rack and underfloor heating. As other guests have reported there is a musty smell that seems to linger. It’s difficult to allow fresh air to circulate with the design of the windows.

Good area, close to Petone town within walking distance. Easy access via car to the cake tin and the ferry’s. Had everything we needed. Free Street parking right outside the front door. I would stay again.

This is a former lodge converted into a home large space with interior decorations depicting its heritage. The interior is of high quality and a recently renovated bathroom and (well appointed ) kitchen. The main street (Jackson) is a short walk away.

We had a fabulous stay. We had stayed at the property several years ago and we weren't disappointed on our second trip. It was an ideal base for us to visit relatives in the area.

The kitchen was fully equipped and the instructions on how to use things was thorough. I really appreciated the owners making time to assist with the issue we had with the gas tank. Lots to do in Petone and a quick train ride into Wellington for a change of pace. Go Phoenix!
