Stains on the carpets in the room but apart from stains cleanly, generally in the room I was sleeping in, it would be useful to renovate the furniture very damaged. The view from the room is beautiful. The food in the hotel was not good. The hotel staff were very nice and helpful.

We requested an upgrade to a delux double room, we also requested to have well done bacon and this was granted for breakfast as the ones provided were not as we would have liked. Staff were very very helpful staff, spa staff lovely and helpful. Reception staff lovely, first impression great. Bar staff great. Evening meal lovely food and staff great, this is the second time we've stayed at the Imperial, I do recommend it and would stay again. They are refurbishing the hotel so some areas done and and a lot more to do as a very large hotel, pool is lovely, steam and jacuzzi amazing. So yes all amazing. All good. Nice place to stay.

Very out dated, needs redecorating. Half of the cupboards in the room didn't open. I paid extra for a deluxe seafront double and it really wasn't deluxe. A lot of money for not very much.

Arrived on a Sunday afternoon. Only one person on reception and so we waited quite a long time in the queue to be told that our room wasn't ready. (It was 2:30pm to be fair). However when we came back, we were upgraded to a sea view room with balcony which was great. The exterior of the hotel looks terrible. It needs a tidy up, the old metal windows replacing and then painting. First impressions are important! The interior of the hotel is good. Clean, good carpets and the public rooms have good quality furnishings. The room corridors are also in good condition and nicely decorated. Lifts seem modern and work well. Our room: Our room was mostly good. Plenty of space, clean, reasonable quality beds and coverings. Things in our room which could do with attention: The hotel has disabled the towel rail to save power so there is no where to dry the towels. Surely not in a 4-star hotel! We would have used the same towels throughout our 3 night stay but we had to get them changed after two days as they weren't drying. Shower head and holder don't match so the shower head flops around. Cheap plastic loo seat! Towels were too thin for a 4-star hotel. Food: Breakfast buffet was extensive and good quality. Evening meal was reasonable quality but could have been better for the high price. We struggled to understand many of the restaurant staff whose English language seemed quite limited. Overall: Has the makings of a 4-star hotel but it's not quite there yet.
