What can I say about the Horse & Jockey at Wessington. One word says everything about it and that’s BRILLIANT. Rooms beautiful and decorated to a high standard, food fantastic and well priced, staff very helpful, polite, friendly and welcoming. The pub itself is beautiful with a big outside beer garden and as ample parking onsite, it is an ideal base for exploring the dales. The Horse & Jockey is spotless and maintained to a high standard and the breakfast is amazing, it’s safe to say we will definitely be returning for a longer stay. If you’ve looked at the Horse & Jockey and not booked it you are missing out on a real gem of a place.

Had a great one night stay at the Horse and Jockey. Very friendly staff, great sized room with a big bathroom and powerful shower. We had a meal in the restaurant and the food and service was excellent on Friday night with a good traditional pub-food menu. Great atmosphere in the pub, and there was a quiz night which attracted lots of people. Had a good nights sleep in the comfortable bed and breakfast was very good too with the normal selection of cereals, juices, yoghurts and a few hot options as well as a full English. Definitely recommend it gif a stay if in the area.
