We use Elizabeth House quite frequently as we have friends who live very close to here. As well as that - the hotel are dog friendly which means that our two dogs are able to join us every time. The staff are always amazing and willing to help, offer tips on places to see and generally being friendly and really want to help make everyone happy. The rooms have lovely high ceilings, are generally a good size and contain enough furnishings for your stay. We usually have a room in the annexe as this is where the dog-friendly rooms are 'housed'. The bed is really comfortable, the wardrobe big enough for your stay. There is normally a bed cover and fan in the cupboard if needed. The bathrooms are a good size. The room we stayed in had a wet room which was huge, and it had the most amazing shower. There are a few parts that need some minor update - such as the bathroom had some plaster peeling near the ceiling but apart from that everything was great. Lots of coffee & tea, a quick boiling kettle along with some biscuits. Finally, the breakfast is good. There is always juice, yoghurt, fruit, cereal, pastries, jams/marmalade and smaller items such the butter, milk, sugar etc all around the central table. Whoever is working in the breakfast room will take your order for hot breakfast, tea/coffee and toast (of which you can always ask for more if you would like to). The porridge is lovely. Thanks again to all the staff. See you soon.

It’s good clean hotel, ideal to get to port. You can leave your car at hotel at an extra cost if you wish. The only downside breakfast time was congested

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely hotel. Everything was clean and comfortable, the food was genuinely delicious. What made our stay especially enjoyable was the wonderful staff — everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and kind, which made us feel truly at home. It’s clear that the team takes pride in looking after their guests, and we really appreciated that personal touch. We had a lovely experience and would happily come back again. Highly recommended!

Breakfast was nice, well presented, they could do with offering some fresh fruit. One guy serving was clearly not happy in his job, and wasn’t pleased when customers asked for something from him,a bit grumpy. Rest of the staff were nice. Rooms are a good size, we did report a blocked sink but it wasn’t resolved even after they checked it out. In a good location and with free parking we would stay again. Little things could make it so much better.
