Great pub, great food and very helpful staff - and a good place to stay

Room was great and the location is lovely. However, I had a bath and the plug didn’t work so whilst I was having my bath the water started to drain. There was also biscuits left in the room but these were over a monthly out of date. Breakfast was my biggest frustration. It was cool to order so I thought it would be accommodating. Cooked breakfasts or pancakes were the only options so I asked for scrambled egg whites on toast with some bacon. I was told this wouldn’t be possibly so ended up with a close of toast and 2 pieces of bacon. Given I could see the chef from where I was, I was disappointed they weren’t even asked about my request. I emailed in and received a response saying my request should have been accepted, however I didn’t receive any refund or compensation so I spent £11 on 2 pieces of bacon and a slice of toast. Disappointing as I had such high hopes and it could have been the best hotel yet.

Everything about my stay was perfect. Really happy with it. Fan was quite bit loud but that's the only thing I can complain about and that's being picky. Would 100% go back again.

Great location if you bring a dog, surrounded by fields. Unfortunately, dogs not allowed in main pub/restaurant. Had to eat in garden room with little atmosphere. Food disappointing. Steak sandwich sent back for being tough, replacement just as bad, also sent back. Thankfully not charged. Breakfast, although plenty of it, most items tasted burnt.
