Shower leaks onto bedroom floor, cobwebs everywhere, small flys in bedroom and restaurant. Dirty and poorly maintained. Unhelpful staff on arrival and with the issues. Will not be returning

Very handy location for getting to Reading in the morning, with good free car parking. Room was comfortable though the air conditioning unit would ave been too loud to sleep with if that had been necessary. Indian restaurant downstairs smelt delicious but I didn't try the food. Staff helpful.

I would not stay here again under any circumstances. Value for money was extremely poor. We reserved 3 rooms at £140 each. The third room was not needed in the end but any attempt to get a refund was met with indifference. The shower rail detached from the wall and the hose was kinked. The toilet seat was skew-whiff. The light went off in the bathroom after less than a minute. Despite the rooms being occupied by 2 people, there was only 1 towel, 1 cup, 1 glass and even 1 bedside table in each room. I suppose we should be grateful there was a double bed. The WiFi didn’t work. There was no breakfast and in the morning we had to leave via the fire exit. This accommodation should not be on hotels.com - it’s not worthy of inclusion. Don’t stay here, not even if you’re desperate (which we were).

I stayed at the Bell and Bottle Hotel for a week and found it to be excellent value for money. It's an Indian restaurant with guest rooms on the second floor (no elevator). The room and bathroom were spacious, and while there was no air conditioning, the fan kept the room comfortable. The Wi-Fi was a bit weak, but everything else met my expectations. The service was friendly and reliable throughout my stay. The hotel is in a quiet rural location, so I relied on Uber for transportation, although it can be expensive in the UK. Keep in mind that when the restaurant is closed, guests need to use the back entrance. Overall, it was a comfortable stay, and I'd be happy to stay here again.

We had a great stay! Super cute and exactly what we needed for one night. If I am ever back in the area, I would go back for sure!!!!
