Price and location were excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful; the continental breakfast ran out of boiled eggs.

This place had room and was under $150 where as we were told $230-$280 a night as a “walk-in” customer by Comfort Inn and Fairfield Inn. This Super 8 also is very close to interchange to go see Mount Rushmore as well as the Perkins in Rapid City SD

Extended stay and was told room service every 4 days. In 23 days the room was serviced twice.

Lots of carbs for breakfast: waffles, muffins , cereals, toast. If you want hard boiled eggs, get up early because once they’re gone, that’s it. The iced coffee was barely cold, the hot coffee is Folgers. The chair, table and desk in my room were all sticky. The towels are a cotton-poly blend. The hairdryer was broken. The curtains were coming out of the clips and the carpet was in desperate need of a deep cleaning. They do provide a mini-fridge and microwave in the rooms.

There is not really anything wrong with this particular hotel, it just needs updating. For example, all the carpets throughout the hallways need to be severely cleaned or replaced. The electrical was odd. There was only 1 usable outlet by the beds, the other outlet was so old that when you plugged things into it they would fall out. The staff was excellent and very helpful with issues. The ice machine on the second floor didn’t work either, that was just inconvenient, there is a machine in the lobby.
