The room was clean, but the breakfast experience was very disappointing, especially considering the price and the hotel’s five-star rating. The breakfast selection was not particularly limited, but it was far from impressive for the price charged. The quality of the freshly cooked eggs was inconsistent. One chef served fried eggs that were so badly overcooked that I found them unacceptable to eat. When a different chef took over, the omelette I ordered was much better. Service in the breakfast restaurant was also poor. I do not expect every plate to be cleared immediately, but four or five used plates were left piling up on our table without anyone collecting them. When a member of staff finally came to clear the table, she also took away the plate I was still eating from, without asking whether I had finished. A simple question would have avoided this. The lack of attentiveness and communication fell well below what I would expect from a five-star hotel. Although the room was clean, the breakfast quality and restaurant service did not justify the price. Overall, I found the hotel overpriced and poor value for money.

This hotel is good location just in front of main station and breakfast excellent. Good rating overall. But wifi doesn’t load well and no amenities provided.

Because we were travelling by train the hotel was excellently located. And although it is very near the station the room Wes very quiet with a great view across the river to the Bundestag. It is also within walking distance of the Bundestag and Brandenburg gate as well as being on the route for the hop on hop off busses.

The food at breakfast was fantastic with lots of choices, the hotel was immaculately clean and the spa was so relaxing. However I would add that it was our honeymoon and I had emailed ahead to let them know this as I ordered champagne and nibbles for our room to surprise my husband. Not one person at the hotel acknowledged our honeymoon - I wasn’t expecting it to cost them anything but a message in the room or a well wish from staff would have been nice! It felt like any normal city break in Berlin which was a real shame! We got engaged in the Steigenberger in Cairo and they were so happy for us. I was really disappointed that it didn’t feel special.

Had a wonderful breakfast with hot and cold selections. Room and clean and comfortable and the A/C worked really well. Staff were great.
