First, the staff's attitude was excellent. Second, it wasn't really a hotel but rather a guesthouse; it was located in the eastern part of Luxor, whereas all the tourist attractions are on the west side of the city. Also, there is no elevator, so it’s a good choice only if you don't mind stairs—or you could simply book a room on one of the lower floors.

Great hotel on west side of Nile. Tons of people waiting on the shore to take you back and forth across the river. Also taxis available. Hotel very short walk from boat drop off. Some road noise. Staff very friendly and willing to help with tours. Not much around this side of the Nile but a few restaurants. Hotel restaurant is the best food we have had yet. Order ahead of time because the meals are made from scratch. Was perfect for a rest day in our trip.

Good location, on West bank close to several eating options and easy access to private boats to cross to East Bank (100EGYP per boat). Roome big and clean, good water pressure in showers. Good view from terrace restaurant. But can be much better in terms of facilities provided. I did not get river view room despite specifically booking one for extra. Breakfast quite limited and despite being served on table per head, not hot. Refrigerator in room not cooling properly. No chair/tables in room. Do not provide any water bottles on check in day and no tea/coffee kettle provided either.

Our "room" was a roomy two bedroom apartment, much better than a standard hotel room. The hotel is family owned and managed, somebody is always available if you need. There is a restaurant/breakfast area on the last floor with a spectacular view of the Nile. Tours can be booked through them with competitive prices.
