Lake house located in a quiet slew on Lewis Smith Lake (Smith Lake) in Jasper, AL 5 minutes from Duncan Bridge and Arley, AL. Come stay for a vacation home getaway with all the comforts of home plus fishing, grilling with family or friends, and playing in the sun! Large deck for the views and relaxing. Includes pier/ boat dock. 2BD 2BA - 1 King and 1 queen bed. Living room includes big screen tv with video streaming apps. Home offers all standard appliances including washer and dryer. Lower boat traffic through the Smith Lake channel tunnel to the property adds for a safer swimming area than the main body of the lake. Property is located 1 or 2 minutes from Duncan Bridge Marina by vehicle or about 5 to 10 by water. Evan’s Marina is located in the same slew as this property. Check with Duncan, Squirrels, and Evan’s Marina for pontoon boat rentals and boat launch. Great cellphone service for AT&T and Verizon. Has WIFI high speed internet. Most boats and all personal watercraft fit through the Smith Lake tunnel for Curry Hwy however, we would suggest not booking and asking first if you have a boat with a tall non foldable rack. There is year round deep (approximately 30 ft) water in the slew. The tunnel itself has markers on the side placed by water patrol to let you know the depth. Happy to answer any questions and give tips for those that worry. We have been going through in our Glastron ski boat, pontoon boat, and Chris Craft ski boat for years. Located in Jasper, this vacation home is on the waterfront. Houston Historic Jail is a local landmark, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Lewis Smith Lake and Tiger Field. Looking to get your feet wet? Jet skiing, kayaking and water skiing adventures can be found near the property.

Be aware that the next door neighbor has two dogs that run free, cats, chickens & roosters. You can hear road noise since it is near a busy road.I don't think that the screened in porch or deck has ever been swept or cleaned. The propane grill had no propane, when I checked the outside storage cabinet, there was a wasp nest. Tried to use the charcoal grill, but the handle wasn't attached to the top.There is no furniture or shade on the platform on the lake, and the wasps seem to want to hang out on the plank leading to the deck.Couldn't find the blender in the kitchen. Refrigerator/Freezer is in poor condition. Racks are rusty and in the frig, you couldn't use storage in the door because guides were missing.I left a day early after being attacked by the wasp down by the lake. I was bitten in 4 different areas so I ended up leaving the swim pad I brought. I asked for a refund on the cleaning to make up for the cost of the swim pad, and I never heard back from the owner.In addition to the dirty porches, in the main bedroom the previous guest dropped candy on the right side of dresser & wall. It leaked and was oozing out from under the dresser, someone left a facecloth on the door to the laundry room and the main bathroom hand soap was almost empty (I swapped for the one in laundry room)I was very disappointed in the property and the lack of amenities.

We had a great weekend on the lake. It’s so peaceful! Kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies, plenty of towels provided. We didn’t catch any fish but we tried!
