Room was great, apart from shower leaked around hose union.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly especially when I couldn't open the key cabinet. Dinner was quite excellent and reasonably priced. Room was larger than expected but TV reception was patchy and screen kept freezing perhaps due to poor Wi-Fi reception. One thing to remember, they do not have allocated parking - whilst there is a large car park behind it is £2 for 2 hours and £6 for a day but keep in mind the gates are shut from10pm to 8am which is unhelpful when you need to leave early. There is street parking circa 200 m further along the road.

With so many negative reviews regarding the size of the room, we paid extra for their bigger room. On arrival we received a friendly welcome and were shown to our room. The entrance to the rooms was having a mould problem, so an extractor had been installed and reed diffuser to mask the smell. The room itself was comfortable, clean, no damp smells which I feared on entry to the block. As expected from previous reviews the bathroom was tiny but that wasn’t a problem… we were here for the location. We had cocktails and a meal, food was good, albeit breakfast a little expensive but set us up for the four falls walk. Got back to the room exhausted, jumped in the shower, hopeless...a trickle of water, the unit itself dripping, got it to the temp, next minute it’s cold, adjusted it, got it back to temperature, next minute it’s scorching. Can hand on heart say I’ve never been in a more useless shower and defo not what you want and need when you’re tired and achy. Bed time… bed seemed comfy enough, but it soon became apparent, not all was well. Any slight movement, squeak, squeak. It all became too much and we moved the mattress on to the floor. The lady who was cleaning the rooms next morning had a look at the bed and tried to fix it and tightened the metal frame… fixed…alas not…another night on the floor. When booking a room to stay, all I ask for is a decent bed and shower…this accommodation fell way short and despite its perfect location. I would not recommend it as a base.

Lovely little place for a one night stay to do the waterfall hike. Very small but cosy - restaurant and staff were great
