we really had the worst experience ever. everything was so inconvenient and not comfortable. we had to fight to survive at the resort almost. first of all the food was not edible, we really felt like we were surviving, more than we were living. 90% of all the employees tried to make our stay as difficult as possible. our air conditioning was so weak we were sweating every night. they don't listen to your problems, they say they will solve them and do nothing about it. our room service phone didn't work from the time we arrived until we left. our person we were assigned answered 0 times, we tried to book a table then have to book a table at the food places 3 nights in a row without success as they just didn't register it when we tried even though we went all the way down to the reception each time because our contact person didn't answer. the pool area and the place itself was nice though as the only plus. The electricity didn't work for the first 24 hours we were there, which is unfortunate of course, but they didn't bother to help anyone while it was on, and we were completely left to ourselves. I really can't understand why others have given the place more stars than 1. I think it's something they themselves have been there and reviewed because all the other guests there had the same experience as us when we talked to them.

I wish I could give this property a 5-star rating, but I can't. First, when we arrived at the resort, we were welcomed by the staff. They were extremely helpful and kind. My issue was when I went to my room. It smelled like Mildew. I went back to the front desk and told them the problem, and they moved me to another room that smells the same but not as bad. However, the smell of mildew coming from the air conditioner vents was a complete turn-off. The third day, housekeeping cleaned my room. It smelled like a breath of fresh air. Now, let me tell you what I love the most. The entertainment was absolutely amazing, the pool parties and late-night shows 5 stars. The food was hit-or-miss, meaning. When the food was catered on the beach and in the sand, it was delicious. When they catered and grilled the food next to the pool, it was delicious, and breakfast was really good as well. Now the restaurants you have to make reservations for. We had reservations at the Italian restaurant and the lasagna and pizza were awful. The next night, we had reservations at Hunter's Steakhouse. I ordered a steak, and my husband did as well. We both said medium well. The steak taste like we were chewing rubber band. It was awful. Lastly, don't let them bother you into going to a presentation "timeshare" It a waste of time. They will say, "We can get you free massages or free romantic dinner on the beach for two. Tell them "NO." They are trying to sell you a timeshare.

First on arrival I paid for 2 double beds . They didnt have any only queen beds which I did not ask for. So I had to wait until 5ish to check in just to get double beds like I requested during booking. My sheets had orange stains , the shower roof fell onto the shower floor while taking a shower. My phone did not work. Buffet selection is horrible maybe 10 actual food items and the rest is bread , fruit muffins very small . There was no entertainment and I been here since Monday. Oh there was a disco party . House keeping came into my room and broke my valentino perfume cap and just left it there .. they didnt restock refrigerator, tissue towels etc. Buffet service was not good and its nasty for ME. I asked for something to drink 3 times from 3 different ppl and never got it. I watch a waiter staff spill an entire drink on a customer and she laughed. There were 2 different fights which is not the resort fault but one fight the staff was involved. Police came and arrested ppl. No elevator had to carry luggage up stairs . This is a small resort which is ok but for this to be all adults it was very boring here. I love Royalton properties but I will never stay at ROYALTON CHIC EVER. Worst experience I ever had
