The location is excellent, right in the Witches' Market, making it very convenient for exploring the area. The lady serving breakfast was lovely and friendly. However, the breakfast is very basic, consisting mainly of bread, coffee, and usually just one egg. The room can also get very cold, especially the bathroom, even with the heater turned up to the maximum. The shampoo and soap were only replenished once during my stay, and I even had to ask for more shampoo. The shower takes quite a while to get hot, and the water temperature is inconsistent. It was also disappointing that there was an extra charge to store luggage after check-out.

Residencial Alta Vista is a simple hotel with simple amenities but it is in a brilliant position on the same lane as the witches market. The rooms are quiet at night and totally practical. Everything was very clean and there was a good supply of hot water in the shower. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is simple but you can sit on the roof top and enjoy the view. The breakfast lady is a delight. I stayed at Alta Vista for 5 nights in the end and it served my purpose perfectly in the centre of La Paz. helpful.helpful. the the shoo
