Despite its 5 Star rating, this hotel had all the amenities to warrant the rating, however I was sadly disappointed with the attention to detail in the rooms and the serviceability of some of the in-room facilities! I booked an executive suite, only to find I was given two adjoining rooms instead of one suite! Water was continuously running in the bathroom overnight, some of the electric sockets didn't work, the glass door to the toilet was wedged open and jammed at the floor, frightened to move it in-case it shattered! Toilet seat was loose and felt like it was going to fall off its hinges and one of the faucets in the bathroom was very loose, again frightened to use it incase it came disconnected! By design the shower is rather too close to the wall in the bath, forcing you to stand on top of the drain outlet in order to be fully under the shower, and having negotiated that the bath didn't drain, taking at least 20/30 minutes to clear, which was rather dangerously slippy, especially as there was no bath mat available! On a positive note the all staff were very polite, engaging and helpful, especially the Lady on reception in the breakfast area.

The hotel felt safe as to access the room floors, via the lift, you had to have a room key. The room was a good size and clean, however the hanging space was only half the height of the wardrobe so all dresses, jumpsuits etc had to be scrunched in. Therer was no ordinary tea and only 2 very small containers of milk. The other disappointing thing was that the Spa access was not included in the price which was not obvious on booking a spa hotel. It was 20€ a visit although there was a separate pool. The roof bar had spectacular views and the staff were lovely. It is a short walk from several bus routes into central Porto.

It was absolutely delightful very clean. People were very friendly. My only concern and it wasn’t nothing to do with them was the language barrier I didn’t speak Portuguese very well, so it was hard to get through that but we found people that also spoke English so it turned out to be great so I really don’t have any complaints. I’d recommend this property to stay five star.

Lovely hotel, service excellent, receptionist so helpful on check in. Rooftop bar fab, lovely staff again. Not really walkable to city centre but hop on hop off bus stop across the road , local bus stop nearby and reasonable taxi fare either. Rooms so quiet and peaceful.Overall lovely experience .
