Hotel Pigal was great. The shower worked well, bed was comfortable (although pillows were very thick and a bit uncomfortable), there were some shelves and hanging rail to put belongings - it is no frills but they are good at what they do. There is a common room downstairs were you have a fridge and kettle, cups and crockery. The downside is there was no air conditioning in the room, nor in the common room. We had a fan which helped, but it is a consideration for you. The owner is friendly and fun and helpful, and all of the staff greeted us and were polite throughout our stay.

Great stay. Xavi and his wife Marzena are wonderful and very helpful, who would go above and beyond in making sure that my husband and I have an excellent stay. Nice staff and very clean room with a balcony. This hotel is so close to the market, restaurants, cafes, grocery stores, shopping centers, public transportation and the ramblas.

Check in was easy and a room was ready for check-in time at 12:30pm which is a great early time to check in. The room generally was good, few negative points include no air conditioning at all which means the room stays hot throughout the night until the early hours when it cools down. The room had tiled flooring and a few tiles were completely loose where these could have been picked up. A fridge would have been appreciated to keep drinks cool. Apart from this, the room was well decorated with character, lovely small balcony, powerful shower, bathroom had water saving taps which is a great move for environmental reasons and the staff were very friendly providing suggested sights and places to eat for our short stay in Tarragona.

In a very good yet quiet location. Excellent staff. We were made to feel extremely welcome and the proprietor gave us a map of the city and explained where everything of Interest could be found. The rooms exceeded my expectations. The beds were comfortable with crisp linen and whilst it was quite basic accommodation, it had everything needed for a couple of nights. The bathroom was quite large and had a powerful shower. You may want to take your own toiletries though. Good WiFi. Downstairs is a kitchen/dining room for all guests to use. You can make yourself a drink or warm up food in the microwave oven or even make toast. There is a large fridge for everyone to use. Good vale, friendly and very clean accommodation. Highly recommend.
