The hotel smelled like mildew in the hallway and the rooms. My room had a puddle of water in it. They really need to clean it better. It smelled like a hotel on the highway for truckers.

Great visit at a beautiful location. Just an FYI. Checking in on a weekend can be a little crazy because it is also a State Park that gets heavy day use. In addition, majority of the amenities like the pool have an additional fee through the state park and my room was in a cabin about 1/2 mile drive or walk to the main lodge. I would definitely stay again though. Food at 1915 was amazing.

Room was clean but damp. Measured humidity was frequently over 80%, even with AC on. The building smelled damp as well, even on sunny days. On two separate occassions, I waited over an hour for my food at the restaurant. The carbon monoxide alarm went off in the night and wasn't fixed until the following evening - I called twice and was told each time that someone would be right up. That never happened. I love the park and the staff works hard, but whoever is in charge of hospitality management needs to do a much, much better job.

Stone Cottage rooms are very very small. Someone of a larger stature wouldn't fit in the bathroom. Noise level (doors slamming) in the middle of the night. I wonder if a room in the INN would have been better?
