I strongly advise avoiding Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort during its ongoing renovation, as severe construction noise and restricted access make it impossible to enjoy the pool, beach, or basic amenities—making their full daily resort fee completely unacceptable.

Construction always seem to hurt ratings but that was my only complaint. The staff was friendly and helpful.

All the staff was extremely friendly and helpful but did forget to notify the bellman that we had checked in, even though we had discussed sending our bags up. This caused a bit of delay in our ability to change in time for our dinner reservations. Also while the room was very clean, there were a few maintenance items. Little things like bubbled or pealing wallpaper and a tub drain that can’t be opened without a tool. I usually expect a beachfront hotel to have a few things worn from salt air and sand, just not at a price point or hotel with an iconic reputation like the Outrigger.

This is our go-to resort in Honolulu. While it is presently undergoing renovations they absolutely do not prevent your enjoying the property. Yes, there are temporary walls and some construction workers around during the day but there is complete access to the restaurants and beach. Construction work end by mid afternoon so there is no disruptions during the evening or night. Staff are among the friendliest I have ever encountered. Can't wait to get back and enjoy the new Outrigger.

Absolutely excellent hotel directly on Waikiki Beach. Friendly and helpful staff, excellent restaurants and a wry nice room. Highly recommend this resort!!

Great location and cool vibes. Our partial oceanfront room was just ok though, a bit dated and something yucky on the edge of the dresser. We enjoyed Sheraton Waikiki much more.
