We had a problem with our reservation during the checkin. It seemed that the NH hotel system and Expedia system “did not communicate”. So, although the hotel Front Desk could see that we had payed for the reservation, it was not on its system. Nevertheless, the Front Desk staff did its best to solve the issue. We stayed in a standard room in the first night, although we have paid for premium. But the hotel offered a dinner for me and my wife. From the second night on, we were moved to the premium room. Things like this can happen. What makes the difference is how they are handled. And the hotel staff handles it in the most efficient way.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Close proximity to the shops and restaurants of La Spezia, as well as the harbour for walking and a day trip to Cinque Terre.

Good location, plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Pleasant stroll along the waterfront. When the weather is too cold or windy for the rooftop bar the internal bar (by the restaurant) is not very inspiring. Good selections at breakfast, frequently refreshed.

Control to alter the temperature in the room would be useful. The room was cold and the thermostat was deactivated. Everything else about the hotel was terrific.
