Room was comfortable however bathroom needs a revamp.Toilet is squeezed between wall and shower/bath and toilet roll is on the wall behind the toilet. The bath /shower base is worn and needs replacing,preferably with a shower base only. Bath would be difficult to access with anyone with mobility issues. Hotel is in good location near central station Light rail, restaurants and shopping. Breakfast was good value.

Unfortunately, this is not a 4 star hotel, it's a 2 star at best. There should be minimum expectations upon arriving at a hotel and being welcomed by the following shouldn't be any of them in our 'deluxe' room: blood on bathroom wall (maintenance staff had to don gloves to clean); bath so old it had started to disintegrate leaving a very uncomfortable standing position; kettle so old it had rusted, leaving rusty flakes to be enjoyed with your tea; general unpleasant smell both in room and in foyer of hotel; safe not working; bathroom cleanliness was an absolute disgrace and hair dryer was truely awful, blowing room temp hair. The saving grace were a helpful reception staff, who were kind to allow us to check in early and who were concerned at our issues raised. The maintenance staff were also super helpful and friendly and were able to help with alot of the above (bath mat provided for bath, blood cleaned off, new kettle provided and safe mended, quickly). We were after a few hours offered another room by reception but it was smaller than one we had paid for and we were past tired at this stage (travelled for 24hours at this stage). This is a budget hotel in a poor and tired state. Fine for a cheap bed and shower, don't expect anything else.

We would NOT class this hotel as 4 stars. We were very disappointed with the condition of our bathroom. We had mould on our shower curtain and mould on the shower/bath walls. The bath looked like they tried to paint it and even had paint half covering the chrome bath drain. Definitely needs a renovation.

Good location but run down and poor. Pool pointless as sun is blocked by buildings.
