Excellent Breakfast, very clean room. One extremely bad point is about the guy, waiter, working in the restaurant in the evening, he is just a big racist!

My family and I have stayed in this hotel many times over the last 20 years. It has been a "home away from home" since our children were little and we used to book the corner "suites". The staff have always been competent and friendly and the facilities attractive and clean. The carpets in the hallways could do with a refresh but in all other respects, the hotel is just about perfect. Car drivers can park under the hotel once they have negotiated the traffic and one-way systems. The hotel is conveniently located beside the U-Bahn station from where you can reach the whole city. It's a short walk north to the city centre (shopping, Dom and Bahnhof). Walk south along the pleasant Severinsstraße to Chlodwigplatz, a lively hub of activity, restaurants and bars and from where you can easily reach the Rhine.

This is a very welcome hotel which is conveniently located a 20 minute walk or a 5 minute tram ride from the city centre. The street it is located on is a pleasant working street, containing plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants. The other end of the street, Chlodwigplatz is a busy hive of activity which is well worth visiting on foot. The tram network will get you everywhere in any event.

Nice, clean hotel similar to other Mercure chains in other countries. Not far from Cathedral, ~ 15mins by walking. Convenient location if you want to walk/bike by the river. We didn't experience breakfast, as it was a bit expensive though (24euro per person in July2026). We decided to have other options in city with same/less price. Overall nice experience, nothing to complain.

The rooms are functional and staff really helpful, disappointed about the mould in the bathroom, on the silicon and tiles was off putting. The mini fridge didn’t seem to get cold either so while these are minor really, it’s fair to mention them. I would definitely stay again and it’s in a great spot to discover the city.
