This has been my second stay in a week and have stayed here a few times and everytime I will travel back home to Tasmania I will be staying at the Mantra Charles the Staff are so friendly and welcoming and helpful A Wonderful place to stay when in Launceston

Clean room, pleasant staff, but the fact that the restaurant and bar are closed on weekends (!) knocks this hotel down a rung or two.

The Charles was located in a great location. Although not in the centre of town, it was only a short walk to restaurants, pubs and cafes. A very quiet area and close for exiting the city on your way to Hobart or the north & west coasts. Fantastic and super helpful staff. I wish other hotels would have staff as attentive and cheerful as The Charles We inadvertently left behind a phone charger which was recovered and returned to us on our next visit to Launceston. Will definitely stay here again on our next visit

Avoid room service here, the food isn’t great and I’ve tried many times, over many trips. It’s the only thing letting this hotel down, otherwise it’s a great stay. Great location, helpful and friendly staff and the rooms are well sized and very clean.
