Great location with short 15 minute walk to the wall. We were recommended to visit Montecarlo and we weren’t disappointed. Lovely place with a fortress to look around. Not many people there either. Nice and quiet for lunch. Thank you for the recommendation!

Guiseppina, front of house, breakfast maker and server, and generally the go to person was superb. Rooms quite small but adequate. Very clean. Good breakfast ( not cooked), for €8. EXCELLENT coffee/ cappuccinos. Bit of a walk into centre of town - 10 to 15 mins. Lucca is a VERY picturesque city. Plenty to see and do. Lots of good restaurants. We booked a guided tour of city on our first full day. Started from Tourist Office. Worthwhile. Good train service to Pisa.

Beautiful property, well maintained. The room was beautifully decorated and the location within a 10 minute walk from the walls of Lucca. Enjoyed my stay and would consider staying again in the future if visiting the area.

The staff are wonderful - so helpful and friendly without being intrusive. The Maison du Charme lives up to its name - it is charming. A 10 minute walk to the city walls. Excellent breakfast buffet. Comfortable, quiet room.

Onsite parking was such a welcomed benefit. The house is lovely; the terrace is so nice, and John was very thorough. We enjoyed Lucca!
