What a wonderful hotel! Staff was very friendly, the double room was excellent, and the vicinity to downtown Catania an easy walk of 8 minutes. A charming very well restaurated building almost 100 years old, with air condition and a nice little bar. Perfect choice.

My husband and I just want to say thank you to the manager and front desk receptionist for their service helping navigate our situation due to our flight cancellation out of Catania. They went above and beyond and we are very appreciative of their hospitality. The hotel itself is on the older side, but still very nice and within walking distance of the Piazza and all the restaurants.

The hotel itself is fine. Clean, big rooms. Very tired, old style from the 60s. Breakfast was fair. Staff were nice and helpful. However, the exterior of the hotel and its neighborhood are filthy, urine smell, feral cats eating trash at night, trash everywhere, graffiti. It’s a bit sketchy in the dark. It’s also a bit longer walk from the sites and restaurants so you have to walk through the not so nice neighborhood. Staff told us it was safe but then when we were walking one afternoon a woman on the street told me to hold my purse more carefully. I would look elsewhere for a hotel if I had to go back to Catania.

Small hotel in a central location. The hotel has a bit of patina, but not so much that it disturbs. Silvio at front desk was fabulous, helped with everything. As Italians are not big breakfast eaters, here likewise it was fairly basic. Can recommend the hotel, especially the family room, that is in fact two completely separate rooms, one with king, the other with queen bed.
